The European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) General Assembly Spring Meetings have recently taken place, bringing members together for an important exchange on the future development of the EWF Systems.

Across the meetings, discussions focused on strategic aspects related to Qualification and Certification, including harmonised access conditions across the different EWF Qualification Systems. The exchange began online on 21 April within the framework of the IJQCC and continued in Istanbul during the second session of the Spring Meetings, on 27 and 28 April.

Another point of focus during the meetings was the visibility given to ongoing European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) project activities, including R3-MYDAS, FLASH - Flexible Laser-based manufacturing through precision photon distribution, DILAPRO Project, AID4SME, CYRUS and #COVEEXSEE.

This was a valuable opportunity to advance ongoing work on system harmonisation, identify action lines for the months ahead and reinforce the importance of active member contribution to the evolution of the EWF Systems.
