FLASH Project: Kick-off Meeting

A new European project starting!

FLASH: Flexible Laser-based Manufacturing through Precision Photon Distribution had its kick-off meeting held at Prima Additive Headquarters in Turin.

FLASH seeks to shift the existing manufacturing paradigm by exploiting the benefits of lasers to enable truly flexible and customisable production.

Its outcome will allow the futureproof multi-process laser system over all major material types, designed to enable flexible and customisable manufacturing of complex products including, but not limited to orthopedic implants, diamond micro tools, super abrasive grinding wheels, automotive cross car beams, and copper hairpin assemblies.

The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation program under grant agreement No 101138380 and will have a duration of 3 years.
